Before & After School Care and Vacation Care

Who will operate before and after school care at St Mary’s?
Active Kids after school care.

When will before and after school care begin?
First day of school, Thursday 28^th January 2016.

What are the hours it will operate?
Mornings: 6.45am – 8.45am (Subject to numbers).
Afternoons: 3.00pm – 6.00pm.  For all school days of the year.

Where is it?
Room 14 at the front of the school, A Banner will say Active Kids After school care.

Who will staff it?
An experienced supervisor from Active Kids, Regina Zammit and other experienced Active kids staff members.  The staff ratio will be 1:15.

What about holiday time?
Active Kids will run a Vacation Care program at St Marys for all school Holidays with the exception of a 2 week break at Christmas periods (unfortunately we will not be up & running for these Christmas holidays)

If a child is enrolling in Kindergarten for a particular year, they can attend the Christmas Vacation Care program at the start of that year.

What about the pupil-free days?
Active kids will operate for all pupil free days

How much will it cost?
The price will vary from family to family.  However, there are generous government rebates for all families.
– The fee is a flat fee, regardless of whether or not they attend part time.

What is included in this cost?
The cost covers all activities, materials, breakfast and/or afternoon tea.

Can children attend on a casual basis?
Yes, children can attend any particular day as long as an Active Kids enrolment form is completed.

How do I pay the fees?
Fees must be paid to Active Kids, not to the school.

Will it involve a home work session each afternoon?
Yes, a home work session is part of the afternoon program as well as afternoon tea and a fun physical activity and free play time.
